世界中に分布する。日本では北海道～九州のイネ科から得られ、最も普通にみられるアザミウマの１つ。長翅型、短翅型があり、オスは長翅型がイランでのみ知られている。

This is a cosmopolitan species. In Japan, it is widely distributed from Hokkaido to Kyushu and one of the most common species collected from Poaceae. The female is macropterous or micropterous, but the male is only known from Iran and is macropterous.
